She is known for her smoky, husky voice, as well as for her role as a nurse on the medical drama show Emergency! She married Jack Webb on July 16, 1947 and, after their divorce in 1954, she married Bobby Troup on December 31, 1959. In 1961, she covered the song "Blue Moon," written by Lorenz Hart.
